OUTCASTS LOOKING FORWARD TO SEMI-FINAL

BY GLEN SANDS

The dreadfully wet weather returned to completely wipe out the entire fixture schedule once again in the Snaith & District League on June 21st with just one team gaining more than the one point awarded for a draw as Thorne Colliery were awarded a victory when Goole Firemen conceded the day before.
In Diviison One all the other scheduled games at Askern ( v Fishlake ) , Goole Town ( v Hirst Courtney )  , Pollington ( v Burn ) and Sykehouse ( v Hensall ) were all called off.
In Division Two, Carlton Towers ( v Eggborough ) , Howden Town ( v Airmyn ) and Outcasts ( v Drax Village ) were non-starters.
If the weather relents by Monday June 25th Goole Town and Hirst Courtney will look to play their outstanding Snaith League Shield 1st Round match with Fishlake awaiting the eventual winners, whilst in the Semis Askern Welfare will host Sykehouse for a place in the Final.
The two Arthur Rant Semi Finals are between Airmyn and Outcasts plus Carlton Towers and Howden Town and they, too, are scheduled for June 25th
Attention will then turn back to league matters on June 28th with the fixtures as follows:
DIVISION ONE
Burn  v  Sykehouse
Fishlake  v  Goole Town
Hensall  v  Pollington
Hirst Courtney  v  Askern Welfare

DIVISION TWO
Airmyn  v  Outcasts
Carlton Towers  v  Thorne Colliery
Drax Village  v  Howden Town
Goole Firemen  v  Eggborough

The results secretary would like to remind all clubs that it is the responsibility of the home team to text, email or phone him the result after the match so that he can provide as much information in his reports for the press. His number is   07746 558423  -  email glensands13@aol.com
