LINCS ECB TOP THREE ALL AT HOME THIS SATURDAY

By ANN BOULTON

The top three in the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League will all be on home turf on Saturday, June 16 as things hot up at the top of the table.
Leaders Skegness face, on paper, the easiest game when they entertain bottom team Hartsholme.  However, the Ashby Avenue side must feel they are due a victory and will be aiming for a bit of giant killing.
Waiting in the wings, just one point behind the seasiders, are Woodhall Spa who take on Louth at Jubilee Park – no simple task, given Louth’s steady improvement that sees them challenging for a place in the top half of the table.
Five points behind Louth are Grimsby who visit third placed Bracebridge Heath and will be hoping to take a full strength side to Cross O’Cliff Court and put in a better batting performance than in recent weeks.
The current champions are seven adrift of Woodhall and nine above fourth placed Haxey who face the long journey to Market Deeping in fifth.
Boston, who are fighting to climb out of the relegation zone, take on a much-improved Sleaford side at London Road while Lindum, in 10th place, entertain Bourne.  Peter Morgan’s team are just one behind Market Deeping and well placed for a climb up the table if their close rivals slip up.
Bourne’s Conrad Louth needs just 10 runs to become the first player to top 300 for the season in the league and Haxey’s Paul Bell still tops the wicket table with 19, closely followed by Skegness skipper Saeed Bariwala with 18.

FIXTURES
(12.30 start)
Bracebridge Heath v Grimsby
Lindum v Bourne
Market Deeping v Haxey
