Matt Crowther and Arran Brindle both hit half-centuries to help Louth to a massive 180 for five and put the first match of the Grimsby Town Knock Out out of reach of Cleethorpes.
Missing over half of their first team through injuries, work and county commitments, the Meggies were captained by Andy Haith who lost the toss to Andy Carrington, the Louth captain electing to bat.
The opening partnership of Crowther and England international Brindle put on 113 before Crowther was caught behind off Fred Lumby for 56, his 50 coming off 49 balls and included a six and five fours.
Brindle then added a further 32 with Jason Collinson before being out lbw to Phil Hutchinson for 63, her 50 taking just 36 balls in which she hit six fours.
Collinson lost two more partners before being run out off the last ball for 36 which came off 20 balls with one six and four fours.  For Cleethorpes, Lumby, Hutchinson and Mat Owen each took a wicket.
In reply, Cleethorpes set off at a good pace and up to the eighth were ahead of the run rate.  However, where Louth had all their wickets in hand at this stage and could accelerate, the Meggies were five down and gradually fell behind.
Tom Corden took three wickets for 33 runs off his four overs with Stewart West, Andy Carrington and Mark Roberts each claiming two and the final wicket fell on 108.
Arran Brindle scored another first when she was awarded the Man of the Match trophy for her batting performance, the first woman to win the accolade in the 76 year history of the competition.
The opening match was sponsored by Pronuptia of Grimsby.  Next week sees hosts and trophy holders Grimsby Town take on Nettleham.
