opportunity to close in on the top two with a 20 point victory over Sleaford 2nd.
Steve Scott
put in a man of the match performance for Billingborough with an innings of 65
not out before taking four Sleaford wickets.
Newly
promoted Skegness 2nd stay fourth after a four wicket win over
Woodhall Spa 2nd, while lower down the table, Grantham recorded
their first victory of the season, beating Moulton Harrox by 33 runs.
Welby
consolidated their lead in Division Two with victory over Cavaliers with Boston 2nd now 15 points behind
despite a good win over fellow challengers Stamford Town 2nd in a bowlers’ game
that saw two five wicket hauls, from Boston veteran Paul Deans and Stamford ’s Chris Birch.
And Heckington
continued their good run, beating Blankney, Chris Morley hitting the division’s
only half century.
In Division
Three, Grantham 2nd completed a good day for the club, beating
league newcomers Welby 2nd by eight wickets and, like their 1st
XI, picking up their first victory of the season.
In the only
other game in this division, where rain has been the winner so far this season,
Claypole kept up their challenge with a two wicket win in a tight game against
Pinchbeck.
