Four teams go head-to-head for the chance to fly the flag for Lincolnshire when they contest the Winkworth Cup finals at Sleaford CC on Bank Holiday Monday.
The winner will go forward to the ECB League T20 Area Finals, which this year will be hosted by the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League.
First up on May 31 at 10.30am are Boston and Skegness with the victors going forward to the final to play the winners of the second semi-final between Nettleham and Bracebridge Heath, who meet at 1.30pm.
The final takes place at 4.30pm with the winners going through to the next round on August 22. Here they will meet cup winners from the Airedale & Wharfedale League, the South Yorkshire League and the Bradford League, all fighting to become North Champions and go on to the Regional Final on September 5 against the top team from the North East. The National Final takes place at the Rose Bowl, home of Hampshire CCC, on September 23.
Skegness CC will host the Regional Final in August and plans are under way to make it a big event in the Lincolnshire season.
In the meantime, spectators and supporters are very welcome to the Winkworth Cup finals on Bank Holiday Monday, an excellent day’s cricket that has been hosted by Sleaford for several years. There is ample parking around the ground and drinks and refreshments will be available in the clubhouse.
