OUTCASTS RAINED OFF AGAINST AIRMYN AT HIRST PRIORY

SNAITH EVENING LEAGUE RESULTS / REPORTS

Despite the dreadfully wet weather there were a couple of matches that were played in the Snaith & District Evening League , both in Division One and there would have been another in Division Two but for Goole Firemen being unable to field a team at Eggborough.

SNAITH LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
Burn have made a terrific start to the new campaign having won both of their opening games , the latest being a nine wicket victory at a rather soggy Sykehouse  who were bowled out for 60 as Jamie Bingle took 3 for 14 and Webster 3 for 17 then Bingle scored 23 not out along with Rich who was unbeaten on 22 to guide Burn home whilst the other game that beat the weather saw Hensall gain a four wicket win at Pollington who made 96 for 3 thanks to 34 from Daryll Lawson and 27 not out from Scott Hopkinson but Barker scored 44 in reply for Hensall and Thornton 36 as the visitors made it to 97 for 6 although Duncan Kiddy finished with figures of 3 for 9 for Pollington. The other games between Champions Askern Welfare and Hurst Courtney plus Goole Town v Fishlake were victims of the damp conditions.

SNAITH LEAGUE DIVISION TWO
Eggborough stand top of Division Two having won both games so far , their latest coming due to Goole Firemen not being able to muster a team whilst the games between Howden Town v Drax Village , Outcasts v Airmyn and Thorne Colliery v Carlton Towers were all lost to waterlogged conditions.
