It was cup weekend across all three divisions of the North Lindsey Cricket League, ties being played in glorious sunshine around the county, which was reflected in the scores.
DIVISION ONE KO CUP 1ST ROUND
The game at Hirst Priory between Outcasts and Scunthorpe Town was actually a double header as the teams played for league points as well as a place in the Cup Semi Finals and it was the visitors who came out on top in a eal run fest. Ramesh Chand hit 82 and brother Gamesh 71 as Town posted a target of 252 for 6 which proved too many for the Priorymen despite Peter Tait's 71 , Matt Teal's 52 and a welcome return to batting form of 43 not out for To Sharpe who claimed after the match to have hit the biggest six of his career so far during his innings ! Next up for Scunthorpe is a home Semi Final against Barton Academy Vikings who gained a five wicket win over Broughton who scored 183 for 8 at Marsh Lane, Nick Dobbs hitting a splendid 106 with Nathan Jones took 3 for 20 and Jack Waller 3 for 40 for Vikings after which Chris Kipling scored 59 and Alex Shreeve 44 not out to see their team home. The one other Division One Quarter Final saw Caistor Cougars beat Grimsby Town by 100 runs at Augusta Street, Harry Boulton scoring 85 for the visitors.

DIVISION TWO
Messingham batsmen were in good form at Hibadstow where Danny Rands hit 120 before being run out and Shaun Bridges 95 not out in their total of 249 for 2 and there was a joyful moment for Chris Nash in the Hibaldstow reply. He scored his first ever senior half-century although his team were bowled out for 168, Markham picking up 3 for 25 for Messingham. They will host Alkborough in the Semi Finals following their comfortable win over Barton Town 4ths at West Halton Road, Alex Jenkins scoring 46 and Liam Hebblewhite 32 in Alkborough's all out total of 209 then Jake Astle took 3 for 9 and Andy Williamson 3 for 8 as Barton slumped to 37 all out in reply. Matty Owen scored 53 not out and Harrison 51 for Cleethorpes 5ths at Misterton where the Meggies posted a score of 219 for 7 then Tom Morley picked up 4 for 59 and Lucy Rollinson 3 for 30 when Misterton were bowled out for a creditable 171, the result leaving Cleethorpes with a trip to Haxey in the Semi Finals.

DIVISION THREE
Cup holders Everton bowed out at the first hurdle in thei efence of the trophy in what was a thrilling game against Luddington. Everton batted first and scored a terrific 190 all out , Dan Brighton hitting 85 before running out of steam but several Luddington players contrubted as they reached 195 for 6, Darren Clark making 49, Jamie Arrowsmith 33 not out and Joe Woolhouse 29 for the Isle side who won with just seven balls to spare. That sets up a home Semi Final against Brougton 4ths who beat Normanby Park by 68 runs in the one other Division Three game, Parker hitting 35 in their all out total of 109 , Declan Dunning taking an exceptional haul of 6 for 2 for Normanby who were bowled out for 41 in reply , Tom Brock taking 3 for 6 for Broughton as the wickets were shared around.
