IT'S SLEAFORD FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS

Paul Bell exploded on to the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League scene with a seven wicket haul as Haxey claimed victory in the first game to be completed this season.
The former Barton Town captain, playing his first match in the top flight, claimed wickets with the second and third deliveries of his opening over and went on to take five more, including the valuable scalp of Sleaford skipper Oliver Burford, as the visitors struggled for runs.
Nick Bisby also claimed two wickets as Sleaford were all out for 52, Bell with seven for 17.  Opener Graham Attenborough then saw the home side to a six wicket win with an unbeaten 38, sealing victory with two sixes in the final over.
The only other game to survive the weather took place at the opposite side of the county as Skegness recovered from losing early wickets to Grimsby to declare on 239 for eight after 48 overs.  Their recovery from 80 for five was down to Peter Houghton and Sean Chamberlain who put on 126 for the sixth wicket, Houghton hitting 107 and Chamberlain unbeaten on 64 when the declaration came.
Adrian Gordon and Oliver Pringle then proved to be valuable new signings for the seasiders, taking five for 30 and four for 29 respectively as Grimsby were all out for 72.
