TODDY DIDN'T GET WHERE HE IS TODAY...
From Graham Hackney
Cleethorpes Cricket Club held its third annual sportsman’s dinner in the clubhouse last Saturday night and once again it proved to be an outstanding success.
Cricket Chairman Paul Hewstone again did a fantastic job of organising the event that saw the club dine over 120 guests (some seen here) for the evening as they were entertained by ex-Premier League football referee Jeff Winter (seen right) and brilliant comedian Gary Marshall. Veteran bowler Jeff Todd (pictured) did a great job hosting the evening.
And comedian Gary brought the house down with his comparison of Jeff to CJ from TV comedy The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin (also pictured here - sort out which is Toddy and which is CJ yourself).
Jeff Winter then took charge of the auction which proved a great success as some superb framed photos (also pictured) sold far beyond their reserve price.
The event has sold out in each of its three years and become an unmissable date in the club’s calendar.
