It’s the Alkborough Cricket Club annual dinner/dance and presentation night at the Wortley Hotel, Scunthorpe, on October 30,where Mike Watkinson will be speaking.
I know we have seen him at the Lincs League dinner before but he's a fine speaker.
Tickets will be about £20, to be confirmed, and are open to any interested parties.
They will first have to listen to brief tales of the story of the season from the Clay brothers - Steve (first team) and me (second).
This shouldn’t take long but is normally filled out with a couple of amusing tales from the season. You never know, the Mankini may get a mention!

NF adds: Andy has offered to provide us with details of the award winners after the event. A few digital, or camera phone, pix from the night would be welcome - although we draw the line at any featured him in his Borat-style Mankini. Borat's catchphrase "Eez Nice!" is inappropriate when applied to Alkborough's left-arm spinner in costume. You will note the careful cropping of the full frontal picture showing him emerging from the away changing room at Outcasts CC earlier this season.
