QUACKING RUN

From Jon Taylor, Hibaldstow CC

We all know that 0 is one of the most frequent scores for a batsman. For Hibaldstow this year the records show 47 ducks out of 299 innings - about two ducks for every 13 visits to the crease by a batsman. And not that long ago we had one characterful batsman who scored duck after duck - a string that we think got in to double figures before he finally scored.
What's the longest run (in innings) for a batsman without scoring a duck? My offer, just for starters is that our records show a top order batsman who has not been out for 0 for three and a half seasons - a total of 72 visits to the crease since his last quack-quack-oops.
