IT'S GOT US STUMPED
Lincs Cricket Latest followers may be able to help confirm that Louth 2nds' magnificent run of 36 league games unbeaten in Lincs divisions two and three during 2008/9 is a record for the county competition.
League statistician Andy Sharp (pictured) says his collection of scoresheets and handbooks only goes back to 1997. And some of the statisticians who served before him are no longer with us to be able to ask them.
So the only hope seems to be people involved with clubs - or followers of the local game - who may have old handbooks, press cuttings or maybe team scorebooks containing information about unbeaten runs to better Louth's 36.
End-of-season league tables will be especially useful where there's a "0" in the defeats column.
Andy, the Keelby wicketkeeper/batsman, says of the run by Lee Freeman's lads: "I would imagine that to beat this a team would have to have at least a full season undefeated."
If you can help, please email Lincs Cricket Latest via this link and we will pass any offers on to Andy.

Broughton managed to go undeafeated from July 12th 2003 to May 2nd 2005.... Defeat against Haxey in Lincs League Div 3 - Defeat against Cherry Willingham in LLDiv 1 - A run of 26..... but no 36.....We can manage one defeat in 39 league games but thats the best we can do........Before 12th July 2003 we hadnt lost a game since the bank holiday monday of the 2002 season. Even if you utterly dominate the leagues you play in you are still liable to come unstuck...... Great effort.

36 games is pretty amazing really, don't think that is likely to have been bettered. Well done.
