LINCS ECB PREMIER PREVIEW BY ANN BOULTON

READERS LINCOLNSHIRE ECB PREMIER LEAGUE - SATURDAY JULY 6

Having fought off the challenge of Market Deeping last weekend, Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League leaders Woodhall Spa now face third placed Bracebridge Heath who have an 18 point deficit to make up on their hosts.
The first half of the season has seen the top of the table change frequently with at least five teams occupying the top spot at some stage.
But in the opening match of the second half, victory at Jubilee Park could see Woodhall emerge as favourites, particularly if Bourne cause an upset at second placed Sleaford.
Bourne have been enjoying better results recently but are still too close to the relegation zone for comfort and will be fighting for every point against a Sleaford side that is now challenging for honours.
At the foot of the table, the two bottom sides fight it out as Hartsholme entertain Haxey.  The Lincoln side are 34 points adrift of their opponents but a maximum 20 from this game would keep them in touch with the sides above them.
Market Deeping have slipped to fourth in the table but go into their game at home to Spalding only 10 points behind Bracebridge.  The league newcomers have quickly adapted to Premier League cricket and lie eighth in the table, on level terms with Bourne and only four behind Louth who travel to Grimsby – who in turn are 10 points up on their opponents.
Jim Morgan’s team will be keen to put a couple of bad results behind then and get their challenge back on track and 20 points could take them back into the top three.
Trying to keep them out are Skegness who are fifth, four up on Grimsby and make the journey to 10th placed Lindum whose fluctuating season sees them go into the second half 14 points above Haxey and only three behind Bourne and Spalding.

Fixtures (12.30 start)
Grimsby v Louth
Hartsholme v Haxey
Lindum v Skegness
Market Deeping v Spalding
Sleaford v Bourne
Woodhall Spa v Bracebridge Heath
