BROUGHTON EVENING LEAGUE SEASON ENDS

Appleby-Frodingham finished the 2013 season unbeaten in the Broughton Evening League when they defeated 2012 title-holders Broughton by 29 runs at Brumby Hall, Scunthorpe, WRITES GLEN SANDS. 
Jack Forrester retired on 51 while Alex Grimes hit 31 in Frod's total of 131 for 4, Shaun Clark taking all four wickets for Broughton who replied with 102 for 9, Matty Hammond hitting 50.
There were two half-centuries at Heslam Park where Ian Snowden and Ram Chand retired in Scunthorpe Scorpions' huge score of 186 for 5, Jake Smith adding 40, before Normanby Park made 105 for 5. 
The other scheduled match between Luddington and Barton Town was postponed due to the wet conditions created by earlier storms.

RESULT : APPLEBY FRODINGHAM win by 29 runs

RESULT :  Luddington  1 pt   Barton Town  1 pt

SCUNTHORPE SCORPIONS  v  NORMANBY PARK
Scorpions : 186 for 5 ( I Snowden 50 ret ; R Chand 50 ret ; J Smith 40 )
N Park :  105 for 5
RESULT : SCUNTHORPE SCORPIONS win by 81 runs
