Goole
Town produced a super display to cruise to a nine wicket victory over Outcasts
at Carlton Towers on July 8th on what was a terrific batting
track.Outcasts won the toss and batted first but were limited to 123 for
6 , Russell Fletcher scoring 33, Josh Bramhill 32 , Andy Torr 25 and Mark
Fletcher 17 not out but it proved to be far from enough as Ashton Nottingham hit
a flawless 65 not out and Lee Hayward 47 to easily guide Goole to 107 before Jon
Wroot trapped the latter LBW.
Nottingham went on to pick up the Eric Smith Man
of the Match award which was presented by League Chairman Jim Smith who thanked
umpires Steve Carr and Ralph Maud for officiating on the night.
The
Arthur Brant Trophy between Carlton Towers and Eggborough will be played at
Goole Town on July 15th commencing at 6 15 pm.
