OUTCASTS 2NDS BEAT SOUTH KELSEY 2NDS - LINCS LEAGUE DIV 3
BY GLEN SANDS
Outcasts 2nds picked up their first victory of a heavily rain interrupted season at Hirst Priory in a game sponsored by Spec Savers of Scunthorpe. Visiting South Kelsey 2nds batted first , making 86 all out thanks to 20 from Matthew Burgess and 18 from Neil Thompson , Craig McAnaney taking 4 for 24 whilst Jonathan Wroot took 2 for 28 and young debutant Joe Welch an impressive 2 for 13 then Mark Fletcher scored 27 not out to add to Charlie Mason's 25 and Oliver Coulman's 21 to guide Outcasts to a six wicket win , Andrew Stockdale taking 3 for 24 for Kelsey.
It was an important win for the Priorymen as the twenty points gained lifts them out of the dreaded drop zone and into a position where they can climb the table further after so many weeks of inactivity.
