GRIMSBY TOWN KNOCKOUT UPDATE FROM ANN BOULTON

Following last Monday’s wash-out, next Monday sees a second attempt to complete the first round of the Grimsby Town Knock Out at Augusta Street.
All matches have been moved forward a week which means that the first semi-final, Grimsby v Louth, will take place on Monday, July 16.
This week, Fenner, last year’s beaten finalist, will be aiming to go one better when they belatedly begin their 2012 campaign with a match against Caistor.
Caistor captain Liam Wood is hoping to have the services of up-and-coming youngster Dan Freeman, formerly with Horncastle and now training with the Nottinghamshire CCC Academy.  Freeman is also on the Lincolnshire radar, making his debut last month.
Also in the Caistor side is former player Nick Dobbs who is behind the stumps and Sri Lankan all-rounder Sahan Wijerathne.
Facing them will be the familiar faces of brothers Dominic and Will Rhodes who started their careers with Fenner.  Will is now with the Yorkshire Academy while Dom plays in the Yorkshire League.
The winner of this match will face Lincolnshire Cavaliers who went through with a one-run victory over Messingham.
Fenner v Caistor begins at 6.15pm.  Admission is free for Grimsby Town CC members and £2 for non-members.  Cars can be parked around the ground.
