TOP PLAYS BOTTOM IN E.C.B. PREMIER

By Ann Boulton

Saturday (Aug 6) sees the top six in the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League play the bottom six in a weekend that could once again see changes in the table.
All eyes are on the top two following Bracebridge Heath’s first defeat of the season last weekend to Boston and while the leaders would be expected to overcome 11th placed Woodhall Spa at Cross O’Cliff Court, Jack Luffman’s side will want to bounce back from last week’s disastrous result and put in a better performance against the top team.
Boston are also in Lincoln, facing Lindum who are 10th but have a 25 point cushion over the bottom two and will be looking to retain this.
Last year’s champions Bourne, who continue to threaten in third place, are at Skegness, the seasiders lying ninth with an 11 point advantage over Lindum, while Grimsby, equal fourth with Sleaford visit bottom side Nettleham where they will be determined not to be the team that gives Nettleham their first victory of the season.
Sleaford face what could be a tough game against ever-improving Hartsholme, now seventh but only 11 behind their opponents. And sixth plays eighth as Market Deeping entertain Louth who are just one point adrift of Hartsholme.

Fixtures
(12.30 start)
Bracebridge Heath v Woodhall Spa
Hartsholme v Sleaford
Lindum v Boston
Market Deeping v Louth
Nettleham v Grimsby
Skegness v Bourne
