A PRENTICE MASTERS BOWLING

Stamford Town hit the highest total in South Lincolnshire & Border League Division One to consolidate their second place helped by Josh Prentice who made the day’s only century.
But Billingborough look set for the championship after another victory, this time over Boston 2nd who are now only three points ahead of Bourne 2nd at the bottom of the table.
Prentice hit an unbeaten 100 to help his side to 250 for nine before Simon Lem took five wickets to bowl Market Deeping 2nd out for 138 and Billingborough had an eight wicket win over Boston.
Archie Stroud hit his maiden league half century for Bourne who managed to pick up eight points in their game against Spalding and a Barnett family effort kept Moulton Harrox in fourth place, Harry taking five wickets and Jack hitting 96 in a tight two wicket win over Sleaford 2nd.
Skegness and Cavaliers continue to do battle for Division Two honours, both recording similar scores in victories over Billingborough 2nd and Boston 3rd respectively.
Welby’s Simon Meadows just missed out on a century when he was bowled on 98 by Paul Roberts, who then hit 51 as Sleaford Sunday claimed a five wicket win.
In Division Three, Baston and Blankney kept up their challenge for honours, Blankney with an eight wicket win over Clayole and Baston hitting the division’s highest score of 246 for four against Timberland.
Danny Ashley of Grantham 2nd put in the best all-round performance, taking six Pinchbeck wickets then hitting an unbeaten 68 to take his side to victory.
And Jim Clarke also had a good day, making an unbeaten 58 and taking six wickets in second placed Spalding 3rd’s win over Burgh & District.
