A helpful hound is saving Haxey Cricket Club money by finding lost balls.
Tilly is the much-loved dog of Phil Scott. If a ball goes into the field, ditch or hedge she will be straight in and has a 100 per cent finder's record.
Tilly is normally only at the ground on Saturdays, but if a ball is lost during a Sunday game, she finds it on the Monday.
Her reward - sips of refreshing lager.
SUPPLEMENTARY: Many thanks to Haxey's Oliver Tonks for taking the trouble to email these images, taken by brother Ethan, to whom we are also very grateful.
