The chasing pack gained four points on Bracebridge Heath as the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League leaders picked up 16 points after hitting the day’s highest total but failing to bowl out Sleaford.
Bracebridge finished on 288 for seven at London Raod, Vikram Atri and Paul Cook making half centuries, while Sleaford hung on to make 175 for six, Will Brewster with 72.
Meanwhile, Bourne, Boston and Grimsby were all picking up 20 points with convincing victories over Market Deeping, Nettleham and Skegness respectively. Deeping put up a good defence of their meagre total of 110, taking seven Bourne wickets of which five fell to Tom Andrews.
George Linde claimed six for Grimsby and Jim Morgan hit 61 in the Augusta Street team’s seven wicket win over Skegness and Jonny Cheer and Josh Newton both made centuries as Boston scored 287 for five before bowling Nettleham out for 126.
Louth stay fifth after winning the mid-table battle at home to Hartsholme, chasing down their opponents 187 for eight to win by seven wickets, Stewart West hitting 78.
And at Jubilee Park, Woodhall Spa failed to take advantage of the Skegness defeat and move out of the bottom two despite Sam Evison’s unbeaten 132 – the day’s highest individual total - that helped his side to 244 for six, a total Lindum overtook for five wickets, Richard Bishop also scoring a century.
This win moved Lindum back up to sixth in the table, just two points ahead of Sleaford and four up on Market Deeping and Hartsholme while at the top, Bracebridge still command a 31 point lead over Bourne.
