According to the annual newsletter of the Briggensians' Association there's a cricket reunion in Brigg on Friday night (June 7)
It's Youth v Experience on the School Field at Sir John Nelthorpe School (meet 6pm for 6.30pm).
It you are a former pupil of SJN, Brigg Sixth Form or Brigg Grammar School you are welcome to go along and report for duty.
Afterwards there are plans to meet up for a drink and a chat at the Yarborough Hunt, in Bridge Street, Brigg (from about 9pm).
These games have been played for decades in Brigg. Old Boys v School fixtures used to be commonplace at grammar schools across Lincolnshire but most have long since fallen by the wayside. No criticism of comprehensive education should be implied!
