Haxey Cricket Club chairman Don Lange (pictured) failed to grab a seat on North Lincolnshire Council in yesterday's elections, but the Axholme South Ward candidate did poll 847 votes for the Liberal Democrat Focus Team, to take third spot behind two Conservatives. Labour's candidates finished fourth and fifth.Former Normanby Park cricketer Don Stewart stood as an Independent in the Axholme Central Ward, polling 569 votes but failing to get elected.
