DANIEL IS MAN OF MATCH

By Ann Boulton

Billingborough won the South Lincolnshire & Border League top of the table battle to take a 13 point lead over opponents Grantham who are now only three ahead of Belton Park.
Daniel Turner was the man of the match for Belton, taking five Bourne wickets then hitting 60 runs in his side’s eight wicket victory.
The closest game in Division One saw Lindum Ramblers beat Sleaford 2nd by just eight runs, Will Wright hitting 82 for Ramblers and Paul Roberts making 90 for Sleaford. This left Sleaford in fourth place with Moulton Harrox, who beat Boston 2nd, in fifth.
Skegness continued their good run at the top of Division Two with a nine wicket win over Cavaliers who dropped to fifth. Sleaford Sunday consolidated their second place with a win at Stamford, John Mountain and Phil Sneath each hitting centuries.
But Billingborough, now third, are in a good position to challenge Sleaford, having two games in hand, as have Heckington for whom Sam Elliott took a hat trick in his 6-28 which helped his side to beat Thomas Cook.
Division Three provided the tightest game of the day, Spalding 3rd retaining top position after a three run win over Grantham 2nd whose last wicket fell on 255 as they pursued Spalding’s 258 for nine of which Jamie Jukes hit 99.
Timberland moved into third after a nine run victory over Pinchbeck but only 13 points separate third and eighth.
