HELP RECRUIT MORE UMPIRES, LINCOLNSHIRE CRICKET CLUBS URGED

The shortage of qualified umpires is hitting home this season in Lincolnshire cricket.
A good number of games are getting only one, instead of two, while for some matches it's proving impossible to appoint even a solitary official and teams are having to manage the duties as best they can.
At Lincolnshire County Cricket League meetings - attended by all clubs across the five divisions - a number of appeals have been made for more people to come forward and train to be umpires. Now the poster seen here is being sent to clubs in an effort to press home the message.
League chairman Bob Welton is asking clubs to display it on their noticeboards and  in the home and away changing rooms.
Bob says: "In my opinion it is of great importance that clubs and players realise that this year's shortage of Umpires is not just a blip and is likely to get worse as each season passes!"
That's unless, of course, more people come forward.
