After three
games, Skegness 2nd top the South Lincolnshire & Border League
Premier Division following a seven wicket win over newly promoted Welby.
But waiting
in the wings are Billingborough and Boston who have gained maximum points from
their first two matches.
Rutvik
Botadra was the mainstay of Billingborough’s win over Bourne who were all out
for 73 chasing their opponents’ 225 for eight, Botadra taking seven for 21.
Seven
wickets also fell to Adam Parker of Grantham to help his side to a 101 run win.
And Paul Deans took five for 36 for Boston who went on to beat Belton Park by seven wickets.
Woodhall
Spa hit the highest team total of the divisions with 288 for seven with no
batsman reaching 50.
Long Sutton
top Division One with the maximum 60 points from their three games while Baston
find themselves in accustomed heights in second place with 57. Baston got the better of Billingborough 2nd
by five wickets while Long Sutton scored a nine wicket win over Stamford Town 2nd.
Blankney
are also enjoying a better season, lying third after two games following their victory over Boston 2nd, David Thomas and
Ash Jarvis both hitting half centuries.
Tom Dale
was the leading wicket taker with six for 15 for Friskney against Heckington
and Joe Pearson also took six for Market Deeping who beat Moulton Harrox Sunday
by nine wickets.
Division
Two leaders are Long Sutton 2nd who have dropped only one point so
far and beat Grantham 2nd by five wickets at the weekend, Rob
Simpson taking six for 22 for the league newcomers.
Claypole
are just one behind after beating Burgh & District and Cavaliers lie third
following their win over Freiston.
Two wins
for Lindum 3rd keep them in contention, 14 year old Ossama Rabbani
hitting 69 against Pinchbeck for whom Andrew Beeston took five wickets.
Top
wicket-taker was Andrew Spencer of Welby 2nd who took six for eight
to add to his earlier knock of 78 not out.
