SATURDAY JUNE 1 LINCS ECB PREMIER PREVIEW

READERS LINCOLNSHIRE ECB PREMIER LEAGUE

JUNE 1 MATCH PREVIEW BY ANN BOULTON

With the top of the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League table wide open, leaders Grimsby face 2012 champions Haxey who will be hoping that this week’s return of their university students will change their fortunes.
Currently lying 11th in the table, Mark Atkins’ team travel to Augusta Street knowing that bottom side Hartsholme are only six points behind and will make the short journey to Lindum fresh from their first victory of the season last weekend.
Second placed Market Deeping are away to Sleaford who made a dramatic drop from second to sixth after last week’s heavy defeat at Woodhall Spa and will have to fight hard for every point against a rejuvenated Deeping side.
Louth, who have slipped to fifth, face one of the toughest games of the day, at home to fourth placed Woodhall Spa who are only six points behind the leaders, while newcomers Spalding will be looking for another giant-killing weekend when they entertain third placed Skegness.
And in a repeat of last Monday’s Winkworth Cup final, Bourne take on Bracebridge Heath at Abbey Lawn, the home side badly needing maximum points to lift them out of 10th place.

Fixtures (12.30 start)
