SKEGGY STAY TOP OF THE TABLE


SOUTH LINCOLNSHIRE & BORDER LEAGUE

Just nine points separate the top six in the South Lincolnshire & Border League Premier Division, with Skegness 2nd staying top despite a four wicket defeat by Woodhall Spa 2nd for whom Neil Robson took five wickets, while Alistair Ainsworth made 81 for the seasiders.
Bourne 2nd, for whom Archie Stroud has already topped 200 runs, are in second place following victory over Grantham.  Stroud was out for 98 in this game but at the Mayflower Ground, 17 year old Keiran Evans made it through the 90s to his maiden century in senior cricket, finishing unbeaten in 103 as Boston overcame Welby by eight wickets.
Only six wickets fell at Belton Park where Stamford Town can out winners after two half centuries were scored in each innings.  And Lindum Ramblers pushed Sleaford 2nd close, losing by just 13 runs.
At Moulton Harrox, Roy Tilley took five for 28 and Luke Hollingworth and Dave Newman both hit half centuries as Billinborough continued their winning run.
Division One’s top teams both went down, Long Sutton to Heckington and Baston to Stamford Town 2nd but retain their first and second positions, while newly-promoted Friskney scored the tightest of victories, beating Spalding 2nd by just one wicket.
Jamie Juckes made the highest score in this division with 95 while Rob Grant made 83 for Friskney.  And Joe Dobson took six wickets as Thomas Cook overcame Boston 2nd.
Long Sutton 2nd stay top of Division Two after beating Lindum 3rd while Claypole kept up their challenge, hitting the day’s top score of 235 for seven before bowling Pinchbeck out for 58, Matthew Revill taking five for 17.
