Not one of the eight scheduled games in the Snaith & District Evening Cricket League was played on May 9th following the arrival of a band of rain that swept across the region at around 4 pm. Games in the First Division at Airmyn ( v Burn ) , Fishlake ( v Goole Town ) , Hirst Courtney ( v Askern Welfare ) and Outcasts ( v Hensall ) were all postponed as were the Second Division matches scheduled for Drax Village ( v Howden Town ) , Goole Firemen ( v Sykehouse ) , Carlton Towers ( v Pollington ) and Thorne Colliery ( v Eggborough ). They will all look for better fortune on May 16th when the round three games include Askern v Outcasts , Burn v Fishlake , Goole v Airmyn and Hensall v Hirst Courtney in Div One whilst the Second Division games are Drax v Carlton Towers , Eggborough v Goole Firemen , Howden v Pollington and Sykehouse v Thorne Colliery
