NORTH LINDSEY LEAGUE SUNDAY PREVIEW BY GLEN SANDS

With the exception of a Cup game at South Kelsey, who will try to play their rained off tie with Grimsby Town, it will be back to league action for the rest tomorrow (May 26th) in the North Lindsey Cricket League..
In Division One, Broughton will look to bounce back from their Cup upset when taking on Caistor Cougars, while Hibaldstow will play host to Appleby-Frodingham who jointly won the title last season.
There is a full programme of matches in Division Two with another Isle derby for Luddington who travel to Haxey, while Messingham will look to repeat their Cup form when playing Barton Acadamy Vikings , this time on home soil.
Outcasts have a visit from Alkborough,  the sides being level in the League Two table.

Games start at 2pm unless the teams mutually agree to a change.

The newly inaugurated Amazing Smile North Lindsey League Cup was top of the agenda last Sunday (May 19) and it was Third Division Blyth who were centre stage when they knocked out First Division Broughton, beating them by six wickets.

Broughton made 126 all out with Paul Reed top scoring on 75, but the "minnows" from the lower league chased down that target with six wickets to spare, thanks in the main to Coxhill's 54.
Elsewhere there was a thrilling game at Caistor where visiting Hibaldstow hit 209 for 5, Tom Taylor scoring an unbeaten 68 and Adam Barker 62, only for Peter Jacob to reply with 73 not out and Harry Boulton 88 as the Cougars reached a match winning 210 for 3.
Top scoring team of the day were Messingham, who posted a total of 228 for 9 at Barton Academy Vikings, with Danny Rands hitting 67 and young Kiwi Cole Briggs 62 for the visitors, Lucas Waller picking up 4 for 57 and George Phillips 3 for 31.
The Vikings  then slumped to 38 all out, Cameron Sanderson taking 3 for 8, as Messingham eased through to Round Two.
The Isle of Axholme derby went the way of Outcasts who bowled a depleted Luddington team out for 99, Andy Lawson top scoring with 27 while Graeme Fletcher took 3 for 16 and Craig McAnaney 3 for 33.
Then youngster Josh Bramhill guided the Priorymen through, making 51 not out in their total of 100 for 2.  Sadly, Haxey were unable to fulfil their fixture at Scunthorpe Town, nor were Cleethorpes able to play at Alkborough.
The South Kelsey  v  Grimsby Town game was postponed due to wet conditions at Nettleton Mines. The teams  will try again on May 26th.
The Quarter Finals line up, scheduled for June 16, is: South Kelsey or Grimsby Town  v  Messingham; Blyth  v  Caistor Cougars; Alkborough  v  Appleby-Frodingham,  Scunthorpe Town  v  Outcasts.
There was one Amazing Smile Division Three game and it was something of a local affair between Everton and Misterton.
Everton batted first and set a target of 186 for 8 with Richard Chambers hitting 53 and Gray taking 4 for 44 for Misterton who were bowled out for 115 , Mark Boscolo top scoring with 28 as Rob Hunter-Shaw picked up 3 for 11 for the victorious Everton team.
