Title holders Goole Town climbed to the top of the table following their five wicket win over Airmyn who were bowled out for 58 before Town replied with 59 for 5 whilst Outcasts and Thorne Colliery are now joint third after the Isle side beat Colliery by the same margin at Hirst Priory. Thorne made 92 for 3 in their allotted overs thanks in the main to Cutts who hit 50 not out only for Scott Buttrick to see his team home with 32 along with skipper Anthony Fitzgerald who was unbeaten at the end. Howden registered their first win of the season to climb off the bottom of the table when beating Askern Welfare in a tight encounter at the Ashes. Askern scored 95 for 9 with Kaye dominating the innings with 62 , Marshall taking 5 for 10 for Howden who then replied with 97 for 7 , Mike Naylor hitting 23 not out and Harry Walker 20.
SNAITH LEAGUE DIVISION TWO
No change at the top in Division Two as the top two both won their games. Carlton Towers scored 125 for 5 at Drax with 42 from Ellin and 40 from Lister then team mate Fenton picked up 3 for 11 as Drax were bowled out for 67 , Morley top scoring with 22 but second placed Hirst Courtney remain on Carlton's heels following their eight wicket win at Eggborough who made 89 for 9 with 49 not out from C Tyson only for Knight to reply with 51 not out to see Hirst home. Burn won a thriller at Hensall where the home side hit 128 for 7 , Richard Whaley scoring 33 , Calvert 25 not out and Lund 21 but the visitors chased down the target thanks to Leigh Adamsonwho made 45 and Jamie Bingle ( 27 ) Whaley taking an impressive 5 for 12 for Hensall who came within one wicket of clinching the game. Finally Sykehouse hit the biggest score of the evening when making 168 for 5 , Mick Gallager continuing his good form with 57 not out along with Jackson who hit 37 then Dave Barrett took 3 for 1 , Chris Marshall 3 for 8 and Jackson 3 for 9 as Pollington were bowled out for 60.
ARTHUR BRANT TROPHY 1ST ROUND
Carlton Towers took their place in the Arthur Brant Trophy Semi Finals when beating Hensall by seven wickets on June 10th , restricting Hensall to 67 for 8 with Richard Whaley top scoring on 25 before easing to 71 for 3 to set up a trip to Pollington on June 23rd.
