LINCOLNSHIRE ECB PREMIER CRICKET LEAGUE ROUND-UP - JUNE 7

BY ANN BOULTON

For the third time in eight weeks, the weather was the winner in the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League.
Only one game was played – a 30 over a side match at Market Deeping where Lindum were the visitors and having won the toss, invited their hosts to bat.
Ryan Sneddon and Tom Lindsay each took a wicket to make it 22 for two but Mehul Adatia and Tom Andrews dug in to add 36 before Jonathan Miller struck twice, bowling Adatia for 20 and the new batsman for a duck.
Andrews went on to make 43 and was seventh man out while Miller finished with four wickets and Luke Robinson three.
Deeping’s 30 overs finished on 111 for nine and Lindum’s innings followed a similar pattern in the early stages, the Lincoln side reaching 54 for four with Adatia and Andrews each taking two wickets.
However, Lindum then found themselves 67 for eight. Miller and Sneddon revived the innings and when Miller was out for 31, Lindum needed 12 for victory.  But it was not to be as Lee Peacock took the final wicket on 104 giving Deeping 15 points that took them up to third in the table.

SCORES
Market Deeping 111-9, Lindum 104.
