READERS LINCOLNSHIRE ECB PREMIER LEAGUE
August 11 Preview by ANN BOULTON
Third plays fourth in what could be the match of the day in
the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League.
Sleaford travel to Woodhall Spa with just one point
separating the two teams, although the home side have a game in hand over their
opponents.
For Sleaford, it has been a typical season, losing heavily at
the start then gradually climbing the table and with Matt Mountain ,
Jonathan Adams and Garry Park in
good batting form this promises to be a high scoring game.
Woodhall have everything to play for as just four points
above them are Bracebridge Heath who travel to Boston where the home side will
be fighting for every point to get out of the relegation zone.
Jonathan Cheer has boosted his runs tally to 632 and now
averages 70.22 while skipper Tom Baxter has taken 30 wickets this season but
the Mayflower side will have to be on top form to beat the 2011 champions.
Below them, Hartsholme also have a home game and face a real
challenge as they take on Grimsby whose
fortunes have improved recently.
Grimsby are now sixth but are still only 18 points above
tenth placed Market Deeping who take on eighth placed Bourne at Outgang
Road. Both sides have suffered badly
from weather affected games and will be looking to rescue their season over the
final six weeks.
At the top, Skegness now have a 16 point advantage over Haxey
and both sides play teams from the bottom half of the table. The leaders travel to Lindum where captain Saeed
Bariwala will be aiming to add to the 41 wickets he has taken so far.
Louth are Haxey’s opponents at the village side’s ground
where Paul Bell will be looking to catch up on Bariwala, who is now five
wickets ahead.
With a gap opening up over the chasing pack, neither of the
top two sides can afford to slip up in the run in to the end of the season.
