FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Last Sunday at Caistor they served up best Stilton cheese, and lots of it (with crackers), as part of a lavish tea during the North Lindsey League match with Barton Academy Vikings. In 38 years sampling cricket teas across northern Lincolnshire, I can't recall ever encountering best Stilton on the menu. Port and cigars did not follow, but you can't have everything! Once we got out into the middle for the second part of the match, I heard a comment in the field about Caistor sending out their "big cheeses" to open the innings. By which they meant Harry Boulton and Liam Wood. And the batsmen lived up to that billing, seeing Caistor home to a very comfortable victory, in quick time.
