It's Quarter Final time in the Amazing Smile North Lindsey League Knock Out Cup on Sunday, June 16 with four enthralling ties. Division One leaders welcome Second Division Messingham who on their day can be a match for anyone whilst 1st Round giant killers Blyth CC will be hoping to repeat their form when they take on Caistor Cougars on home soil. Division Two joint leaders Alkborough meet Appleby-Frodingham in good form and finally last season's joint Division One title holders Scunthorpe Town head to Hirst Priory to take on Outcasts who are beginning to string some results together and pose a tricky opponent to Town
There is just one league game scheduled which sees Cleethorpes make the relatively short trip to take on league newcomers South Kelsey at the former Nettleton Mines venue.

Leaders Grimsby Town made it four straight wins on Sunday, June 9 when they beat Caistor Cougars by 34 runs to maintain a three points cushion over their nearest rivals in the Amazing Smile North Lindsey Cricket League division one. Ross Carnelly hit 101 and Steve Butterfield 60 as Grimsby posted a total of 213 all out, Gareth Johnson taking 6 for 26 for the Cougars who replied with 179 for 9, Harry Boulton stroking 57 with Steve Crossley taking 4 for 46 but second placed Broughton remain in touch with the leaders following their 102 runs victory over Hibaldstow earned for them by Paul Reed who hit 77 in their all out total of 219 , Tom Taylor taking 5 for 74 for Hibaldstow who were then bowled out for 117 as Shaun Clark blitzed them by taking an impressive 7 for 39.

DIVISION TWO
Luddington and Outcasts produced a thriller out on the Isle of Axholme which went the way of Outcasts with just two deliveries remaining in the game. Darren Clark had scored an excellent 52 and Joe Woolhouse 27 when Ludd batted, putting on 90 for the first wicket but the introduction of spin saw a change in the game as Craig McAnaney took 5 for 25 and Scott Buttrick 5 for 37 to leave Ludd all out for 146. However they fought hard to restrict their opponents and came close before going down by four wickets, Buttrick doing it with the bat as well as ball when hitting 39 with Josh Bramhill scoring 32. Barton Acadamy Vikings climbed above Luddington in the table with a 16 runs victory over Haxey at Marsh Lane, posting a target of 98 all out with Liam Parker top scoring on 24, Cameron Farr taking 3 for 15 for Haxey who were bowled out for 82 in reply, ex Barton player Jeremy Evans making 26 with Lucas Waller picking up 3 for 14 and Alan Sanderson 3 for 19. The win takes the Vikings level on points with leaders Alkborough.

DIVISION THREE
Cleethorpes inflicted a first defeat of the season on Everton at Chichester Road to join them on seven points at the top of the table. The Meggies hit 198 all out when batting first, Graham Hume making 59 before retiring and Mike Chamberlain 53 then they restricted the visitors to 149 for 8, Richard Chambers taking advantage of the good Cleethorpes surface when hitting 73. Sadly the scheduled game between Upton cum Kexby and Misterton was postponed due to a lack of numbers in the home team ranks.
