There were just three scheduled games in the North Lindsey League on Sunday, but cricket was overshadowed by a tragedy at Grimsby Town CC  where one of their players was taken ill during the game with Outcasts and died later, having been taken to hospital.

The league's thoughts go out to the player's family and indeed to all at Grimsby Town at this very sad time.

Lincs Cricket Latest would like to add its own condolences to those tendered by Glen and the NLL.

Grimsby : 297 for 5  ( B Volley 121 ; J Deseko 80 )

RESULT :  Grimsby Town 3rds win by 72 runs

BARTON ACADEMY VIKINGS  v  BROUGHTON 3RDS

Broughton :  168 for 7  ( N Dobbs 63 )

Vikings : 153 all out  ( M Hinchliff 34 ; A Shreeve 30 )  S Clark 7 for 30

RESULT : Broughton 3rds win by 15 runs
