IAN HOLVEY RETIRES AFTER 45 SEASONS

Friskney won the South Lincolnshire & Border League Division Three championship on the final day of the season in a game that brought three half centuries.
And in the same division, Grantham 2nd went out on a high note, beating Spalding 3rds by just 10 runs in the tightest game of the day.
In Division One, Moulton Harrox suffered a heavy defeat against Sleaford 2nd but gained sufficient points to finish one point above the relegation zone.
And in Division Two, Welby remained undefeated as they signed off with a win over second placed Stamford Town 2nd while Blankney, who spent much of the season under threat of relegation, finished equal fifth after defeating Baston.
This match saw Ian Holvey bow out after 45 seasons.  In his final match, the Blankney skipper took four for 23 off 12 overs to finish 2012 with 20 wickets.
