ONLY FOUR DEFEATS IN 74 MATCHES

The very successful Scunthorpe Town team.

FROM GARY BRUMBY, SCUNTHORPE TOWN CC

Sunday's North East Lincolnshire Cup Final win by Scunthorpe Town Under-15s over Scothern CC bringing the curtain down on an era with probably the most successful junior team in North Lincolnshire cricket history coming to a close.
Over the past three seasons this team has played 74 times losing only four of those fixtures with three losses being in the County Cup Final versus Lindum CC who went on to become national champions.
Along this journey they have won the North Lincs League, North East Lincs League and North East Lincs Cup several times.
Over this time this team has produced County representatives such as Rory Franklin, Luke Smith, Jamie Brumby, Nav Dhinsa, Dylan Hopkins, George Hansen, Joe Taylor, Ronnie Sen, Kane Brown and a District representative in Oliver Doleman.
All of these lads are now playing senior cricket at the club with Luke, Rory and Jamie making first team debuts this season.
Other members of the squad also played a major part in the promotion and success of our senior teams this year.
As well as being good cricketers they are all good young men who play cricket the way it should be played. They are and continue to be a credit to the Club, themselves and their parents.
