The Snaith League Shield Final will be contested by Goole Town and Sykehouse on Monday July 4th, following Goole's exciting nine-run victory over Askern Welfare.
Goole made 129 for 6 when batting first, with 39 from Ashton Nottingham and 29 from Jake Mahoney, Askern's Morton taking 3 for 18.
Then Mantovani top scored with 20 as the Welfare replied with 120 for 9, Scott Thorpe taking 3 for 16 and Lee Hayward 2 for 11 to see the youngsters from Goole through
The venue for the final will be announced imminently.
