LINCS LEAGUE RAINED OFF CUP TIES

Given the state of the weather today and the poor forecast, clubs in the Lincolnshire County Cricket League are reminded of the requirements if play proves impossible in the second round of the George Marshall Trophy and the quarter-finals of the Bob Welton Cup.
Full details can be found in the 2011 League Handbook, page 92. But for the benefit of those without this worthy publication to hand, here's what League Rule 8b requires:
In the event of the original game being postponed it is expected that the following options will be taken in order
A) A re-arranged weekend game before the next cup round.
B) A re-arranged evening match of 20 overs a side before the next cup round, with no bowler bowling more than 4 overs.
C) A bowl-out.
D) Neutral umpires shall officiate at Bowl-Outs, if available.

CLUBS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONCEDE.
