WE NEED A LEAGUE SECRETARY

The Lincolnshire County Cricket League needs a general secretary to replace Mike Savage (Old Lincolnians CC) who will be retiring at the annual meeting in October.
Hard-working Mike gave the league a full year's notice of his intention to step down from the hot seat. However, in the months that have passed since the 2009 AGM, no-one has come forward to say they will take over.
At Wednesday's mid-season meeting, Chairman Bob Welton (Holton-le-Clay) again asked clubs whether they knew of someone who would step forward for election to the post. Again his request was met by silence.
Duties include taking the minutes of meetings, dealing with correspondence, helping with the organisation of the annual dinner and overseeing the production of the league handbook. Applicants should have email/internet access and experience of cricket administration at club, or league, level.
If you are interested, or know someone who might be within your club, please contact Mike for further details. E-mail mikesavage199@btinternet.com
