MATT FINISH ADDS GLOSS FOR TOWN

Leaders Cleethorpes 5ths suffered a set back to their hopes of retaining the North Lindsey Cricket League division one title when they were beaten by Scunthorpe 4ths at Chichester Road, where Matt Pashley hit a tremendous 93 as Scunthorpe set a target of 205 then pitched in with three wickets when the Meggies were bowled out for 143 , Josh Pasley going one better when taking four wickets.

DIVISION TWO
Leaders Grimsby Town 3rds scored 206 for 7 at Hibaldstow 2nds thanks to 74 from Grainger and 45 from Hinchcliffe, Lol Waghorn taking 4 for 42 for 'Stow who comfortably chased down their target for the loss of just three wickets , Dale Coy scoring 96 not out and Jon Taylor 77 , and that result allowed Broughton 3rds to close the gap at the top to just two points following their narrow six runs victory at Outcasts where Nick Crawford hit 70 when Broughton made 156 for 9 , Craig McAnaney taking 3 for 32 only for the Priorymen to fall six short when replying with 150 for 8 , Graeme Fletcher scoring a career best 47 whilst Rob Glentworth took 3 for 39 for Broughton. Sadly for the Isle side that defeat means they slip to bottom of the table after Brigg Town 3rds won at Wheatley & Leverton who were bowle out for 117 , Callum Harrison top scoring with 70 as Phil Dewfall picked up 3 foer 23 then Paul Reed ( 38 ) and Ryan Musslewhite ( 30 ) guided Brigg to the narrowest of victories with only one wicket to spare. Finally in Division Two Haxey set a total of 172 for 6 when entertaining Alkborough 3rds , Rob Young hitting 65 and Aaron Moody 48 with Neil Gray taking 3 for 21 for Borough who in reply were bowled out for 150 , Ben Walker top scoring with 35 as Oliver Tonks picked up 4 for 25 and Gunesena 3 for 27 for Haxey.

DIVISION THREE
Barton Academy Vikings are in pole position at the top of Division Three now following their 62 runs victory over an improving Epworth, Jeremy Evans making 58 not out and Bradley Graves 30 in the Vikings total of 206 for 6 then Epworth made the Barton youngsters work hard for victory when replying with 144 , Dean Elviss hitting 54 not out as Tom Palin took 4 for 21. Luddington lost ground on the Vikings when their scheduled game at Upton cum Kexby was postponed due to wet conditions and that allowed Misterton 2nds to close to within four points of the Isle side when they eased to a 9 wickets victory over Everton 3rds whom they bowled out for 86 before Misterton cruised to their target.
