Bracebridge Heath picked up another 20 points in the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League and second placed Boston opened up a 10 point gap over the chasing teams.
But lower down the table it was all change as 2010 champions Bourne shot up from sixth to third and Lindum jumped from 10th to seventh.
Lindum were involved in the tightest game of the day as the team gave new captain Harry Dunn his first victory by beating Skegness by just seven runs at St Giles Avenue. The home side were bowled out for 176 with 14 year old Will Wright scoring 56, his maiden century in the ECB Premier League. Matt Rutherford then took six wickets as Skegness were bowled out for 169, Carl Wilson hitting 54.
Jason Scheepers took four catches and made one stumping as Bracebridge demolished Grimsby’s batting for just 105, Matt Bradley and Brett Houston with four wickets each. Vikram Atri then hit 61 off 49 balls with 13 fours as the leaders cruised to a nine wicket win.
Boston had a harder game at Hartsholme where Matt Ward hit 78 and Jonathan Cheer 55 in a first wicket partnership of 104. The visitors went on to make 231, Henry Rush taking six wickets and Tim Shooter then hit 50 as Hartsholme reached 200 for six at the close to claim a share of the points.
Bourne made the highest total of the day and added to bottom side Nettleham’s woes. Conrad Louth made 67 and Charlie Hopkins an unbeaten 87 as the visitors ended their 50 overs on 251 for five then bowled the home side out for 100.
Rain reduced the game to 92 overs at Market Deeping where Jack Luffman hit 66 for Woodhall Spa who made 228 for seven then restricted their hosts to 178 for nine. However, the points gained were enough to keep Deeping in fourth place, only one behind Bourne after Louth failed in their quest to move into the top three.
Sleaford swapped one London Road for another and came away with 20 points after bowling Louth out for 157 and winning by six wickets to go within one point of their opponents in the table.
