OUTCASTS LEVEL AT TOP

Snaith Evening League Division One
Goole Town suffered a blow to their title ambitions when they were bowled out by Fishlake for 69 , Bansil top scoring with 33 for Town whilst Garrigan took 3 for 11 for Fishlake , as did Ben Lamb for Goole but to no avail as the visitors reached 70 for 6 to put themselves in the hunt for the crown whilst at the other end of the table matters were eased somewhat with the sad news that Drax Village have withdrawn from the league , although Hensall's victory over Luddington means that they have given themselves hope of keeping clear of bottom place , Craig Mainds hitting 39 as they posted a total of 100 for 5 then the Isle side were bowled out for 89 in reply.

Division Two
Hirst Courtney are clear at the top of the Second Division following their three wicket win over Pollington who made 127 for 7 thanks chiefly to 60 from Weaver with Dunn taking 3 for 14 for Hirst and they went on to win when Alford and Craig Lawson both scored 33 in their total of 131 for 7 , Welburn picking up 4 for 15 for Pollington. The result between Airmyn and Carlton Towers is not known as it was not notified to the results collator and finally Burn beat Goole Fireemen by four wickets , restricting them to 124 for 7 as D West hit 41 for the Firemen then replying with 126 for 6 Boo Adamson making 46 not out and Adam Prescott 33 for Burn.

Division Three
Outcasts moved level with Howden at the top of Division Three when they won a close encounter at Drax Village 2nds. Mark Fletcher hit 48 as the Isle side made 117 for 8 then Niall Chester took a valuable 3 for 16 as Drax were restricted to 113 for 5 , Chaston hitting 34 and Jackson 32 not out for the villagers and finally Thorne Colliery were dismissed for 49 at Eggborough for whom Gale took 4 for 13 and Tyson 2 for 13 before Pearson guided Eggborough to 50 for 2 and a comfortable win.

Trophy final
The Arthur Brant Trophy will be contested by Burn and Hirst Courtney on Monday July 25th at Hensall following the Semi Finals which took place on Monday July 4th. Hirst won at Airmyn although no further details are available whilst burn beat Pollington by scoring 154 thanks to Mark Webster's 67 and 42 from Jamie Bingle then bowling Pollington out for 101 , Alex Webster taking 4 for 23 with Hopkinson hitting 44 for the home side.
