It's great to see Owmby veteran Edwin Chappell re-appear in yesterday's Lincolnshire League division two win at Haxey 2nds. Having been sidelined by illness and injury, Edwin returned with his club short of playing strength to keep wicket, hold a catch and score nine runs.
Many will remember him, of course, from his great run-scoring days on the old Skipworth Ridge ground at South Kelsey, before switching bases to Owmby some years ago and then taking on the captaincy.
