LINCOLNSHIRE HONOURS FOR KEELBY STALWARTS

FROM PETER THOMPSON RURAL NEWS

Two Keelby cricketers are proving its never too late to gain honours in the game.
Richard Papps (left) has been a regular member of the Lincolnshire Over 60s side this year, while wicketkeeper Andy Sharp (right) has played for the Over 50's.
Both Richard and Andy describe themselves as the youngsters in their county sides, their  milestone birthdays being only recent events.
Richard is best known locally as a stalwart batsman for Keelby 2nds these days, who can also turn in some useful medium pace.
Both are delighted to have received their county call-ups, even at this late stage of their cricket careers, but admit it is a case of better late than never. Both have also been frustrated like cricketers everywhere this summer at the number of games cancelled due to the rain.
