BETTER LATE THAN NEVER - SORRY, BARTON!

Apologies are extended to Lincs Cricket Latest followers for the lateness of posting this piece, to Barton Town CC (who missed out on the publicity till now) and especially to Ann Boulton, who kindly sent us a couple of photos from the George Marshall Trophy final, which I promptly filed away and forgot to post!
So, for the record, here are Barton - winners of the coveted Lincs League senior KO competition - after their success in a very good game at Augusta Street, Grimsby, against Alkborough, also of the premier division.
Ann reports: "Barton only made 199-9 against some tight Alkborough bowling, then successfully defended it with some good bowling of their own and some really good fielding. Chris Kipling got man of the match after he anchored the Barton innings with a painstaking 54 runs."
NF adds: "Lincs League chairman Bob Welton officiated at the final, as always, and is seen here after the presentation ceremony."

WE SHALL BE SEEKING ANN'S PERMISSION TO USE THE PHOTOS IN THE NEXT LINCS LEAGUE HANDBOOK.
