The top of Division One of the South Lincolnshire & Border League saw no change as Billingborough and Stamford both claimed 20 points against Woodhall Spa 2nd and Moulton Harrox respectively.
But Market Deeping moved up out of the bottom two after a tight game against Sleaford 2nd who were bowled out for 157, just 10 runs short of their opponents score. Belton Park stay third as, despite five wickets for Spalding’s Mike Kearns jnr, they came away with a 30 run win.
And Ramblers kept up their challenge with an eight wicket win over Boston 2nd who slipped to 11th in the table.
Stewart Mudie hit the day’s only century, scoring an unbeaten 146 in Grantham’s victory over Bourne 2nd while Cavaliers Mohamed Jazeem had the biggest wicket haul with six for 22 against Billingborough 2nd in Division Two.
Cavaliers completed a successful two weeks that has seen them beat both top teams, resulting in a move up to second above their opponents who were bowled out for 102 chasing a seemingly modest 132.
Skegness got back to winning ways but were unable to bowl out bottom side Ropsley who hung on to their last wicket to deny the top team maximum points.
The closest games of the weekend were in Division Three where Timberland beat Pinchbeck by just five runs and Moulton Harrox Sunday and Spalding 3rds both won by only two wickets against Grantham 2nd and Burgh & District respectively.
