Harry Clewett, our 16-year-old off-spinner, leaves on Tuesday for New Zealand. He is spending our winter playing cricket in Christchurch, care of Peter Fulton.
Harry has a trial match for a minor counties side on Saturday, he will play club cricket in New Zealand and will train as part of the Christchurch first team squad.
Please note the overseas players for Christchurch this season are Sean Tait and Ryan Ten Doscate.
It is thought this will be the start of an exchange programme between Cleethorpes and Christchurch, as we hope Pete will be back to captain the first team next year, but he will also bring an up and coming Kiwi with him to play in our 2nd team in the Lincs League.
