ROUND-UP OF LINCS ECB PREMIER GAMES PLAYED AUGUST 3

Bourne caused the upset of the day in the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League, coming out on top in a high scoring draw with leaders Woodhall Spa, writes ANN BOULTON.
Having languished in the lower reaches of the table all season, Bourne hit the day’s top total with 267 for eight before restricting their hosts to 228 for nine to take 16 points to Woodhall’s 11.
This enabled Sleaford to narrow the gap at the top following their victory over Hartsholme but Jack Luffman’s side still have a 23 point advantage at the top.
Bourne moved up to eighth and are now only six points off a top six place after the teams around them all lost.
Louth slipped to ninth when Lindum took just 34 overs to reach their target while Grimsby went down to Market Deeping and Skegness lost to Bracebridge Heath.
A well-crafted innings of 80 from Zeeshan Ahmed, with support from Graham West (40) took Louth to 206 for six but Will Wright came out with all guns blazing, hitting 79 off 76 balls while Luke Robinson made 58 off 44 to help the home side to a six wicket win.
